The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island in New Hyde Park has a Mets room that fans can appreciate more than ever this post-season. Families of seriously ill children treated nearby can temporarily live at the Ronald McDonald house at no charge. With the Mets currently battling for a World Series title, children and especially patients at the hospital next door have the chance to watch and cheer on their favorite baseball team with their families.

Louisville Slugger Making World Series Bats For Mets Players

The famous bat maker Louisville Slugger has made World Series game bats for the New York Mets. The bats for the Mets will be made to each player's specifications, as well as an additional three new bats for Daniel Murphy, who hit home runs in six consecutive playoff games. The bat that Murphy uses is a 33.5-inch, 31.5-ounce birch Louisville Slugger.

Taco Bell's 'Steal A Base, Steal A Breakfast' Returns

Taco Bell has announced a World Series promotion called “Steal a Base, Steal a Breakfast” in partnership with Major League Baseball. If any Mets or Royals players steal a base during the game, customers can visit Taco Bell on November 5th to get a free A.M. Crunchwrap. Taco Bell has previously executed similar promotions, but is changing the menu item to reflect its new breakfast menu. Since last night's game featured multiple stolen bases, baseball fans can pick up a free A.M. Crunchwrap at participating Taco Bell locations on November 5th.

Wig Out For Mets Pitchers Jacob deGrom And Noah Syndergaard

For those in need of a last minute Halloween costume, Yandy.com has all Mets fans covered.  The costume shop gave away “The Noah” and “The Jacob” wigs last week for free, which was great news for fans who planned to dress up as Syndergaard or deGrom in support of the NY Mets.  While this promotion ended before the start of the World Series, the wigs are still available for $11.95.

Upper East Side Bakery Selling Mets Cookies

People all over New York are celebrating the Mets World Series run, including local businesses. Glaser's Bake Shop in Yorkville on the Upper East Side, around since 1902, has created a special Mets cookie for the occasion with a spin on the traditional black and white cookie.  The two colors featured are Mets blue and orange with some cookies sporting baseballs and others are decorated with “Go Mets!”

Jimmy Kimmel And Eric Stonestreet Make World Series Bet

As Jimmy Kimmel is a die-hard Mets fan and Eric Stonestreet an avid Royals fan, the two decided to make a bet on the winner of the World Series.  Spinning a wheel determined the unfortunate task for the loser, which turned out to be jumping in a bounce house while the winner shoots him with paintballs.  Only time will tell who will be on the losing end of this bet!
