Grandma’s Cookies, owned by Frito-Lay, is using Santa Claus’s good natured spirit to boost sales over the holidays. The campaign is centered around an event where Santa surprised locals in Minneapolis by granting their holiday wishes. Additionally, the brand is the official sponsor of the “Santa Experience” at the Mall of America. A video of the wish granted was posted to YouTube on Dec. 4, which was National Cookie Day.

Snapchat Introduces Its First Holiday-Themed Channel For Discover

With the addition of sponsored “live” stories on Snapchat, more and more brands are learning how to take advantage of the millennial-specific app. Brit + Co has launched Snapchat’s first uniquely holiday-specific themed “live." The Brit + Co “live” story is planned to be active until Dec. 4, starting back up again from Dec. 18 to Dec. 24. Each day, the story will feature a different activity, such as baking and crafting in preparation for the holidays. Google has partnered with Brit + Co by sponsoring ads that will be placed throughout the Brit + Co “live" stories.

No one wants to get stuck at the kid’s table during the holidays. Old Navy wants consumers to know that in order to guarantee their place at the sought after adult table, one needs to don their best holiday-inspired clothing. Old Navy calls upon the hilarious Portlandia duo, Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, to get this message out. The duo shows up to their holiday party in plain, boring, "furniture looking" clothing and instantly get bumped from the adult table, only to have a “precocious prepubescent, clad in a fashionable shawl-collar sweater” advise them to head over to Old Navy and pick up some clothing that “screams holidays.”
