Santa Visits Sick Children at Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square

Christmas arrived early for dozens of sick children, with a special visit from Santa to lift their spirits during the holiday season. On Sunday, Dec. 13, Hard Rock Cafe New York hosted its annual Breakfast with Santa for nearly 25 kids from St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital. During the event, the children enjoyed breakfast complementary of Hard Rock Cafe, listened to holiday music performed by up-and-coming R&B artist Justin Love and told Santa all their holiday wishes. Ikea Unveils The ‘Best Toy Ever’ For Christmas

In IKEA’s latest holiday campaign, the brand highlights the “Best Toy Ever” - one that isn’t available on the shelves. The commercials show various children playing and describing their favorite plaything. The ad eventually reveals that the best toy is “you” and serves as a reminder of what’s truly important during the holidays and throughout the year. A spokesperson for IKEA explained that they think children are the most important people in the world and wanted to create a film to inspire everyone to play every day, all year round.

Goats Singing Christmas Carols is The Holiday Album You Didn’t Know You Needed

A group of goats singing (read: bleating) Christmas carols may be the surprise holiday album of the year. The songs for “All I Want for Christmas is a Goat” were released by the Swedish branch of Action Aid, a global charity focused on fighting hunger and poverty. The album, which includes the goat versions of such holiday classics as “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night” and “White Christmas,” feature the “voices” of real-life Swedish goats and aims to raise awareness for the organization’s goat gift card program in which people can purchase a goat for the community.

Bah Humbug: Santa Gets Hacked in Norton Campaign

Norton launched a holiday ad campaign where Santa gets hacked by the “Bah humbug,” and has his data stolen in a three-part series. The campaign features hackers who take the Naughty or Nice list and leak it over the internet. Chris Jr., Santa’s son, informs his father that all of this could have been prevented if he had protected his computer. The campaign is part of Norton holiday campaign, “What you don’t want this holiday season.”

Victoria’s Promise Launches Interactive Christmas Campaign

Women’s cancer charity, Victoria’s Promise, launched a festive media campaign to celebrate this holiday season. Viewers are asked to create a fun Santa selfie using a Hippy Santa creator and to share their photo on social media using #VPHippyXmas. This trendy hashtag is helping raise awareness around the mental and physical struggles young women face when diagnosed with cancer.

Siemens Creates Digital ‘Santa’s Factory’ to Attract Millennial Employees

To attract millennial employees, Siemens set up “Santa’s Factory” in a digital-only marketing campaign that folds classic Christmas themes into video content explaining how only Siemens can help Santa have a more productive, efficient and happier Christmas. It has set up partnerships with BuzzFeed, YouTube and LinkedIn to spread the digital cheer. Siemens designed the marketing campaign to highlight the fact that what they make is real and that it matters, in an emotional and warm way.

JC Penney Shoppers Visit Santa’s Workshop in New Virtual Reality Initiative

Santa is going virtual! JC Penney has set up four virtual reality experiences at malls around the country in Bronx, N.Y., Columbus, Ohio, Glendale, Ariz., and Springfield, VA. Dubbed “Twas the Flight Before Christmas,” the initiative sends participants - outfitted with an Oculus headset - to the North Pole where they can interact with reindeer, elves and snowmen. The program runs from Dec. 5 through Dec. 24.

GE Leverages Instagram For Interactive #DigitalSnowGlobe Campaign

GE has launched a new holiday campaign called the #DigitalSnowGlobe. The company invites users to its Instagram account (@GeneralElectric) to check out holiday-themed videos and photos. The trick is to find the hidden snow globes throughout the images. As fans find snow globes, they will win coupons and exclusive offers from GE partners. Those that locate all of the snow globes will be entered to win holiday prizes, like a trip on Amtrak or tickets from United Airlines.
