The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company set the Guinness World Record® for the Largest Game of Cornhole to kick off a week of celebration leading up to the 80th Annual Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on Dec. 31 in Arlington, Texas. Measuring an astounding 64 feet by 32 feet, the super-sized version of the traditional tailgate game, cornhole, was paired up with another larger-than-life college football tradition - the Goodyear Blimp. Cheerleaders from Michigan State University and the University of Alabama flew more than 200 feet above the massive cornhole game board to toss beanbags out of Goodyear’s newest blimp, Wingfoot One. The students competed for bragging rights in the larger-than-life game of cornhole as their teams prepared to face off in the College Football Playoff Semifinal in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. The epic game ended in a 1-1 tie. (client)

Everlane Sale Gives Customers The Option to Pay What They Want

Online retailer Everlane is letting customers name their own prices in an effort to "move overstock." Consumers must create an account with Everlane, and then browse through a selection of products with three available price options. If consumers choose the least expensive option, the money covers only the cost of production and shipping, with nothing left to contribute to overhead for the brand's 70-person staff. If the middle option is chosen, consumers could help cover a small amount of the overhead costs. If the priciest of the three sale options is chosen, it covers those costs and the extra money allows the company to "invest in growth."

These Floating Trash Cans Suck Up Ocean Garbage

The Seabin is a floating garbage can for the world’s ocean that automatically sucks in fuel, detergents, waste and other debris from the sea. It was specifically designed to sit near floating docks of marinas, private pontoons, inland waterways, residential lakes, harbors, ports and yacht clubs since these areas are heavily populated with boat traffic and tend to store the most trash. Currently, the project is only available as a working prototype; however, the company is using Indiegogo to raise funds to being production in early 2016.
