Gatorade to Support Youth Sports in New Ad Campaign, POTY Awards

Gatorade is kicking off a new marketing campaign this summer aimed at supporting youth sports. They have begun distributing special-edition bottles that invite customers to cast votes for their favorite non-profit sports organizations. Gatorade believes this “Play It Forward” program will have a lasting impact. Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, all 606 Gatorade State Player of the Year winners can each give $1,000 grants to sports-related charities. There will also be an opportunity to gift one of 10 spotlight grants worth $10,000 at the end of the year.

Here’s Another Opportunity to Smell Like Rihanna

Rihanna is adding to her beauty empire with the announcement of her second perfume, Crush. The scent is described as being “mysteriously sexy” and includes pink rose, bergamot, mandarin, pink peppercorn, ylang-ylang, red berry and musk notes. The fragrance will be available at Macy’s retail and online stores in August 2016.

To raise awareness for the premiere of his new show, “Still the King” debuting on CMT, country music singer and legendary mullet pioneer Billy Ray Cyrus worked with Mashable to release a humorous PSA asking to bring back the mullet. In the funny PSA, Cyrus calls on Americans to go to their barbers and demand "just a little off the top and nothing else." Cyrus' early '90s mullet was truly one of the most inspiring Kentucky waterfalls of all time.

Esurance Partners With Minor League Baseball

Esurance is partnering with Minor League Baseball, making it the only brand to sponsor both Minor and Major League baseball. The company created the Esurance Call-Up Worthy platform, which will launch exclusively on MiLB.com and the MiLB club websites. Throughout the season, Esurance will reveal other key programs as part of the sponsorships, including MiLB players as Esurance brand ambassadors and Esurance Rising Star Students, with support from MiLB Charity Partner Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

This New Orange Is The New Black Pop-Up Restaurant Will Serve High-End Prison Food

A restaurant in Singapore turned fan-favorite binge-watching show Orange is the New Black into a place to binge-eat. On June 16 and 17, Netflix transformed the OverEasy diner into the Litchfield Penitentiary Cafeteria and presented gourmet prison food on plastic trays. Executive chef Bjorn Shen served up typical prison foods such as Nutraloaf and “gruel” (a white chocolate coconut pudding with almond crumble) for dessert with prison’s standard house beverage, water.

Sanpellegrino's Map App Helps You Find Cool New Places on The Way to Your Destination

Sanpellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages wants to change the way people navigate with smartphones using a new mapping app that encourages users to discover new spots. Through the brand's Delightways app, fans can type in their destination, as they would on Google Maps, and the app will point out shops, restaurants, parks and street art along the way, all of which were identified by Foursquare and local influencers. The app launched this week in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle and Washington, D.C.

Reveal is a new wearable for kids with autism spectrum disorders that can detect and report when anxiety and stress are on the rise. The device monitors a wearer’s heart-rate, body temperature and sweat levels using high-tech tools similar to those found in fitness trackers. It is connected to an app that gives caregivers data-based insight into when, how and why meltdowns happen.

Opening Ceremony's Collaboration With Stonewall Inn Will Benefit Orlando Shooting Victims

For NYC Pride 2016, Opening Ceremony, a global fashion and lifestyle curator, has launched “Summer’s Queer: The Original Cruise Collection,” a special-edition collection to pay tribute to New York City’s most iconic LGBT bars.  The five bars that are featured as part of the collection are The Eagle, The Monster and Stonewall Inn, as well as Meow Mix and Cattyshack, which are no longer in business, but reproduced items exclusively for the collection. In consideration of the mass shooting that took place in Orlando, Opening Ceremony is donating 20 percent of its net sales from the collection to the Pulse Victims Fund.

Fried chicken fast-food chain, Church’s, has teamed up with PlayNetwork in order to bring a branded music experience to their guests. Restaurant goers can download Church’s mobile app to listen to the music, which is a major part of the chain’s brand. The app also allows fans to listen in for the experience even when they are not at one of the restaurant’s locations.
