"Game of Thrones” Season 5 Set For Global Day-Date Release

HBO plans on making the fifth season of Game of Thrones a worldwide event.  The season will air across 170 countries simultaneously.  In previous seasons, episodes were time shifted for other territories, or even delayed weeks or months. The action begins Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. ET, with the season five premiere airing across HBO branded networks.

In an attempt to boost the self-esteem and self-images of young women across the country, Aerie, a subsidiary of American Eagle Outfitters, launched its “Love Your Real Selfie” campaign by taking the “world’s largest unretouched selfie” during spring break in Miami on International Women’s Day. The campaign aims to connect with the brand’s target audience by speaking to their call for natural or “#NoFilter” beauty. Young ladies everywhere can join in on the effort by sharing their unretouched selfies on social media with the hashtag #AerieReal.

UPS Launches 'United Problem Solvers' Campaign

UPS has a new ad campaign positioning the logistics company as the “United Problem Solvers.” The integrated campaign includes TV, print and online spots educating consumers on the various services the company offers, such as temperature sensitive health care solutions, handling international returns and helping retailers with e-commerce.

Wendy's Puts Go Pro-Style Camera on Head of Lettuce

“Wendy’s Romaine Lettuce Journey” is a new video from the chain highlighting how its romaine lettuce gets from the farm to the restaurant. Not only has this journey been recorded, but it was done by using a Go Pro to witness the action. Wendy’s is using the lettuce’s journey as a new way to position its larger marketing campaign, which promotes the freshness and quality of its food.

The Clinton Foundation has erased women from advertisements in an effort to show consumers that women are still “not there” with gender equality. The campaign features notable brands like Kate Spade, Under Armour and H&M all with women erased from their ads and billboards. Men and women alike are encouraged to engage on social media using #NotThere to take a stand for women’s rights.

Etsy And The American Museum of Natural History Join Forces to Bring You New Designs With Ancient Inspiration

The American Museum of Natural History has teamed up with Etsy so that buyers can now bring home their own fashion artifacts! Etsy invited a group of its wholesale artists to the museum to draw inspiration from its numerous exhibits, and then had them create an original line of products. The collection includes a 3D dinosaur card, felt dinosaur coats for little friends, bath salts, banners, and more. These unique pieces are available in the AMNH gift store.

Pepsi Challenge Returns to Celebrate Brand’s 40th Anniversary

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of its successful Pepsi Challenge, Pepsi recruited a slew of celebrities including Usher, Serena Williams and Usain Bolt and Vine/Snapchat star Jerome Jarre to invite consumers to participate in a series of challenges through social media. The yearlong campaign, which began last week, will feature Pepsi’s celebrity “ambassadors” issuing a new challenge each month and encourage consumers to “do something different.” The challenges could involve technology, music or sports, according to reports.
