Your Shot, USA: 7UP Searches For America’s Next Top DJ And EDM Love

It’s your shot USA! Originally a hit in Australia, 7UP is now searching for the next talented DJ in America and the winner will get a chance to jam out with Tiesto at the 2016 Ultra Music Festival in Miami. The competition lasts six weeks and will form a 10-part web series on Vevo. No DJ experience is necessary, but entrants must be American residents 18 years and older and be able to attend two three-hour DJ training sessions per week for four weeks in Los Angeles.

Starbucks' 'Cookie Straw' Will Further Sweeten Your Caffeinated Sips

Along with the release of the newest sugary drink, the S'mores Frappuccino, Starbucks is now allowing customers to consume their coffee through a “cookie straw.” The new innovative straw is made up of a rolled sweet wafer biscuit lined with rich chocolate ganache. The straw is available in U.S. and Canadian locations for just 95 cents.

Kids Remind Parents They're Doing Better Than They Think in Uplifting Ad

Most parents underestimate their parenting skills and when Minute Maid asked six moms and dads their thoughts on their own parenting, the answers they gave compared to their kids were vastly different. With a mix of ages ranging from teenagers to elementary school children, the kids had written their parents a heartfelt letter, which gave the parents a new perspective on their parenting skills.

Supercuts Tackles Selfie Phenomenon

Supercuts has taken a cue from the selfie phenomenon in its latest campaign that shows off its new services. The television spots feature customers taking selfies of their new 'do while participating in various activities from horseback riding to surfing. The campaign also shows off the chain’s new Hot Towel Refresher service, in which a stylist uses a hot towel infused with tea-tree oil to wipe away stray hairs, and also features the salon’s online and mobile scheduling feature.

TheChive Brews Clicks -- And Beer

TheChive's brewing company, Resignation Brewery, has just begun national distribution of its second beer, KCCO Gold, a crisp, slightly sweet straw-colored lager. In 2008, brothers Leo and John Resig founded theChive as a photo entertainment website. Both of the Resigs were home brewers, so they finely tuned their recipes and the brewery was born. TheChive's brewing enterprise fermented organically, now as the 86th largest brewery in the U.S., and the brand hopes that with the launch of the KCCO Gold it will do twice as well.

Storage Company’s Parenting Advice Video Goes Viral

A recent video from Extra Space Storage entitled "Parenting Advice – 10 Things I Wish I’d Known Before Having A Baby" includes parents offering advice to parents-to-be has gone viral, garnering 1.1 million views on YouTube. Along with advice to “get on a schedule” and “take a break,” the advice includes parents encouraging parents-to-be to not torment themselves about messes, but to use storage and figure it out when they are less busy. The brand also encouraged people to share their advice to parents using the hashtag #MakeRoomForLife.

Instagram Launches Dedicated Music Channel @Music

Instagram is expanding its horizons with a new venture: music. The photo-sharing app has launched @Music to showcase established and upcoming artists through short profiles and a mix of editorial content, including 15-second music lessons and spotlighting independent musicians in cities worldwide. According to the company, the decision to create a niche for music lovers was born from the fact that 25 percent of Instagram accounts belong to musicians.

Targeting girls age 11 to 15, Aerie for Yellowberry has created a new demographic for the American Eagle Outfitters' extension beyond their current 15 to 25 target demo. The brand will send an empowering message to young girls and introduce them to the Aerie brand early on.
