Shaq Was Covered in Bubble Wrap After His Big Fall

The entire nation saw Shaquille O’Neal trip and fall on national television. Although Shaq was unharmed by the fall, Sealed Air, the makers of Bubble Wrap, wanted to ensure he would be safe on set moving forward. Sealed Air sent Shaq several rolls of Bubble Wrap to keep him protected – and Shaq ended up covering himself in Bubble Wrap head to toe on the TNT set during the NBA playoffs to continue the fun! Pedialyte Now Marketing to Hungover Adults

Pedialyte, known as a drink for rehydrating ill children, has recently found a new market in hungover adults. This in mind, Pedialyte will be appearing at 144 sporting events as well as music festivals in cities like Atlanta and New York, giving away free samples to capitalize on the growing popularity in this new demographic. Additionally, the brand launched the “See the Lyte” campaign earlier this year in order to promote directly to adults, specifically on social media and other online venues.

GoGo SqueeZ Expands Marketing With $12M 'Goodness On The Go' Campaign

GoGo SqueeZ, the line of squeezable applesauces and fruit-and-veggies in re-sealable pouches, has launched a new campaign, "Goodness on the Go," to promote the products' benefits as natural, healthy snacks that can go anywhere. A national sampling tour is running through Aug. 9 and features "GoGo Karts," topped with a helicopter propeller motif that mimics the product's easy-open cap. There will also be three events featuring a vending machine, dubbed a "Goodness Machine” that will dispense the product for consumers. Fans are encouraging to keep an eye out for the GoGo Karts and to share photos with the hashtag #ISpyGoGo for chances to win prizes.

The Next Frontier in Customization: Lay's Potato Chip Bags

PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division is leveraging an interactive tool and personalized packaging heading into the Memorial Day holiday by letting consumers on mobile create custom digital bags of Lay’s potato chips featuring photos of favorite summer moments.  Through July 4, Lay's Summer Days campaign will reward thousands of winners with real-life customized bags of Lay's Classic potato chips featuring their photos. The first 10,000 approved submissions will be incorporated into real-life Lay's potato chip bags and sent to consumers.

One Direction Fans' 'No Control' Campaign Takes Off in a Huge Way

Even one man down, One Direction still continues to shine in the eyes of their fans, and these same fans have taken their love to a new level by pushing to bring the band's song, “No Control,” to number one. The completely fan-lead campaign is asking radio stations worldwide to play the song and essentially get it recognized as a single for One Direction since it is a fan-favorite on the band’s 2014 album, Four.  The song has already made it to number one on Billboard’s Trending 140 thanks to fan support.

Help Save Endangered Species by Tweeting Their Emoji

World Wildlife Fund is launching its first “emoji-based” fundraising campaign which encourages people to tweet an emoji of endangered species while donating to the wildlife charity at the same time. The charity identified 17 endangered species among the existing emoji alphabet, including the blue whale, giant panda and tiger. For each emoji people tweet, WWF will add 10 cents to a voluntary monthly donation. At the end of each month, people will receive a summary of their use and choose how much to donate.

GoPro And Air New Zealand Hang Loose in New Inflight Safety Video

Air New Zealand has left the Hobbits behind in its newest version of an inflight safety video. Working with HD action camera company, GoPro, the airline filmed at popular surf locations in Malibu, the Australian Gold Coast and Raglan and Piha in New Zealand. They collaborated with surfer and model, Anastasia Ashley and three time surfing world champ, Mick Fanning and captured footage of the surfers in the water. To celebrate, Air New Zealand is giving online viewers the chance to win a trip for two to Los Angeles, including a two hour surf lesson.

Macy's Preserves All-American Image With Summer Selfie Campaign

Macy's is kicking off the American Icons campaign for the summer with a push for selfies on social media as it seeks to embody the fun-loving lifestyle of the warmer months while embracing its all-American image. The selfie initiative encourages consumers to share a picture that personifies what America means to them with the hashtag #AmericanSelfie. Photos will be chosen to be featured during the annual Macy's July 4 Fireworks broadcast on national television with donations being made to non-profit campaign for veterans, Got Your 6, as well.

A Dog Trails Shoppers Around a Mall on Its Billboards, Hoping to be Adopted

In order to promote pet adoption for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Battersea launched its digital “Looking for You” campaign. This simple campaign was designed to tug at the heartstrings of Brits and demonstrate how adopting a rescue pet can be a life-changing experience. To execute the campaign, a chip was secretly placed in leaflets handed out to shoppers around East London’s Westfield Stratford mall. This chip triggers the rescue dog to interact with the shoppers from one digital board to the next. To further promote the campaign, a two-minute campaign video was made with the shoppers’ reactions.

Brick Street View Turns Google Maps Into Lego

Google and LEGO have teamed up with designer and artist Einer Oberg to create “Brick Street View,” which has integrated LEGO bricks and characters into Google Maps. Users can check out sites like New York City in full brick form – Lego bushes, trees, flowers and even a LEGO woman to guide users around! Guests can now explore major cities – LEGO style!
