As more people use social media platforms to speak openly about their health journeys, patients struggling with invisible chronic illness are often left behind. Knowing hydration supplements are one of the first things healthcare professionals recommend in managing chronic conditions, Buoy – a hydration wellness brand – launched the “To Be Seen” campaign. Buoy used TikTok patient-influencers in a short cinematic film to further educate the general population on the prevalence of invisible chronic illnesses. As many chronic illness patients are often diagnosed in high school and left feeling isolated, this short film provided the “tell-all” they needed to finally feel seen.
