New research conducted by ASICS reveals that 80% of people feel demotivated to exercise after seeing transformation photos of their peers on social media. Stemming from these findings, the sportswear manufacturer aimed to shine a light on why the most important transformation to consider isn’t physical. In observance of World Mental Health Day (10/10), ASICS distributed billboard advertisements to reinvent the before and after picture format to highlight the positive impact exercise can have on mental health. In this series, photographers snapped two photos of participants upon arrival and after completing 15 minutes of exercise to document the changes that occurred over a short span of time. While no dramatic physical change occurred between the two snapshots, the models claimed to leave feeling better than when they arrived since not all transformations are visible.
