The brand then called on its loyal Pepper fans to sign the petition and spread awareness using #DrPepperLovesTexas. Within 24 hours of being live, the petition received well over 6,000 signatures and continued to climb to more than 28,000 signatures in the first week! News of the initiative spread like Texas wildfire, resulting in more than 527 million media impressions.
